Founder Coach Joey Tracy
Joey built Legacy 9 on heart, hustle, and an unshakable belief in team. For him, the name on the front of the jersey will always mean more than the name on the back. Through loyalty, hard work, and love for the game, he's created more than a program- he's built a family.

Legacy 9 is built by coaches who are among the best in the game- leaders with proven success as players, mentors, and motivators. Our staff is made up of elite baseball minds who bring next-level experience, competitive fire, and a passion for player development. Each coach is hand-selected not just for their knowledge of the game, but their ability to lead with integrity, push athletes to their full potential, and build a winning culture. At Legacy 9, our standard is excellence- and it starts with the people who wear the title "Coach."
DAVE KNEHR
ASSISTANT COACH
Coach Dave Knehr brings a lifetime of baseball experience and leadership to Legacy 9 Baseball. A former Division I athlete, MLB draft pick, and the father of Reiss Knehr, who was drafted in the 2018 MLB Draft by the San Diego Padres, Dave dedicated his life to the game. He's spent decades coaching and developing young players across top programs on Long Island, with a philosophy built on discipline, fundamentals, and a deep passion for helping every athlete reach their full potential.
JJ GATTI
DIRECTOR OF PITCHING DEVELOPMENT
Currently a pitcher at Old Dominion University and a 2022 Chaminade High School State Champion, Coach JJ brings Division I experience and a proven record of success to our staff. Coach JJ combines his college-level experience with a passion for teaching, making him a huge asset to our pitchers as they build their own legacies.
HEAD PITCHING COACH
Legacy 9 Baseball is proud to have Dylan Banner serve as the program’s Head Pitching Coach. A standout right-handed pitcher for the University at Albany Great Danes, Coach Dylan brings a wealth of Division I experience, competitive toughness, and a strong track record of player development to the Legacy 9 staff.
HEAD COACH
A U.S. Marine Corps combat veteran with 24+ years of military and law enforcement service, Coach Tagnosky brings elite leadership and discipline to the diamond. Over the past two years, he has guided teams to multiple titles. A proven winner and mentor, Coach Tagnosky is dedicated to building champions on and off the field.
